Causal Relationship Between Economic Growth and Energy Consumption in Jordan

Due to the current situation of Jordanian economy, this paper aims evaluate impacts economic growth on energy consumption in a developing country like Jordan, with limited resources such as oil, agricultural land, and water. This study is very important since bill reflects notable share GDP for especially recent decade that witnessed bills rising due different political financial crisis events. The investigates causal relationship between per capita (proxied by real gross domestic product constant prices) over 1975-2011 period. A Granger causality test utilized annual time series data. results confirm neutral consumption, indicating increase may not cause any perpetual rise Jordan.
